The week of April 20th
An opportunity to experience community involvement occured when Tammy Roehrich called and stated sandbaggers were needed at the county shed. The intercom announcement was made for assistance and in a short minute students filled the office volunteering their services. The call for baggers was again made the following day and again the spirit of assisting was readily evident. Calls from Tammy and Janelle congratulated the work ethic and behavior of our F-B students. I was not surprised of the positive comments because I expected nothing else. I congratulate the F-B students for their efforts and my pride of our school continues to grow.
Thanks to all who assisted with the Prom & post-Prom activities. Parents - you did a great job in providing positive alternatives for our youth. Students positively commented on the night’s activities on Monday morning.
I would also like to thank all the rural parents and patrons for their efforts this past winter and spring. School attendance did not suffer greatly when buses did not run. Thank you for keeping the roads open and your assistance when buses did get stuck.
The F-B Elementary Academic Team participated in and took first in a meet at Harvey.
The week of April 13th.
Congratulations to the F-B Elementary Academic Challenge Team and their coach, Mrs. Kanwischer. On Monday evening, the team competed and finished third in Maddock. Tuesday evening, Fessenden-Bowdon hosted teams from Maddock, New Rockford, and Harvey. F-B Team 1 finished first. They will be competing later this month in New Rockford and Harvey.
Junior and Senior Math students participated in the math meet in Minot on Wednesday. The juniors and seniors also represented F-B in a positive light.
The juniors and seniors along with Mrs. O, Mrs. Delzer, and Mrs. Bollingberg visited the state legislature on Thursday. They created a visual of their days activities and is posted on Mrs. Bollingberg’s blog.
Congratualtions to Mrs. Neumann on the birth of her first grandchild, Grace Olivia, on Wednesday.
The faculty continues their weekly technology sessions with Mrs. Bollingberg. Please check the site, www.dial2do, for the latest in texting and e-mailing via your cell phone. A truly amazing experience!!
Enjoy the long holiday weekend!
