Geospatial technologies have been identified by the current administration as one of the three highestgrowth industries in the US today. Learn how to incorporate the tools of this trade to support science, mathematics and geography! We will provide dozens of easy activities using Global Positioning Systems (GPS), digital cameras, and electronic probe ware mapped out in a geographic information system (GIS).
GIS is the common space to analyze all these data in a single interface. GPS and remote sensed imagery provide context for concepts from geometry to algebra, chemistry to physics, or agriculture to business. These technologies open worlds of investigation in your classroom, after school clubs or science fair projects.

What are some ideas for using a blog in elementary education? I know there are institutional uses but what about classroom use and integrating it into a lesson plan? A few ideas thrown out in a recent workshop include:
- Student journals.
- Discussing a story that was read.
- Story creation, adding to a story on a regular basis.
- Favorite/least favorite cafeteria lunch. (This one might be something the whole school can participate in).
- Talking about classroom or school events.
What are your ideas?
