This week, Fessenden-Bowdon students in grades 3-11 are taking the NWEA test.  The tests are in the areas of math, reading, and language usage.  The students take the tests on the computer and can work at their own pace.   As they answer each question, the program assesses their level and gives them another question based on the response they gave on the previous question.  We challenged the students to try and achieve a higher score than when they tested last spring.  The students receive preliminary results as soon as they finish each of the three tests and will receive more information about their scores a few days later.

The following opportunities are available through the North Dakota Job Service: 

*Paid Work Experience at public or private sector businesses

*Financial Assistance for individuals who will be starting training programs of two years or less at North Dakota schools

*Summer Leadership Workshops

*Career Planning

*Assistance in paying for GED fees and support services if required for employment or training
